Hello! My name’s Rachael, and now that I’ve obtained my Animation degree here at NUA I’m looking to be a part of a studio where I can offer my skills as a 2D animator, character designer and character performance artist.

From my time at NUA I’ve learnt that I work best in a team surrounded by like-minded individuals, and I can’t wait to be able to keep doing that in my professional life.

BA Animation work by Rachael Selby. A one minute short film of a knight trying to catch a rat and chasing it around a medieval kitchen.

I like to think that I’m very resilient, and getting feedback on my work keeps me motivated. I also enjoy illustrating in my spare time as well, and I’m able to work well with clients from previous commission work. I’m optimistic to see what my future holds!

On the left are sketches of a small stocky man in a coat and flat cap. On the right are sketches of a huge tree like monster, silhouetted in black.
