Award Winner

Engagement in ideological, technological and environmental studies on NUA’s BA (Hons) Architecture course has fostered a design ethos focused on delivering for communitarian purposes, with outcomes embedding a sincere response to the environmental and ecological crises. This design approach has been recognised with nominations, commendations and wins for the AJ Student Sustainability Award 2022, DCA21 Student Award, and in regional design competitions, respectively.

Building on previous experience in domestic structural renovation projects and the publication, art direction and fashion industries, tried and tested skills in communication, spatial design and concept generation have been augmented. Undertakings in extra-curricular activities have also proven invaluable in furthering this skillset. These included founding and presiding over the Student Society for Architecture and Interior Design, deputy-leading Storehouse Magazine, and representing NUA in the RIBA, ASN and ACAN networks.

Winner of the Hamson Barron Smith Award for Sustainable Design 2022
