Seren Faber

BA (Hons) Textile Design

BA Textile Design by Seren Faber showing a textured hand-printed fabric.

As a Textile Design graduate, for my final collection ‘Embedded Environments’, it was important for me to end my studies with a portfolio that had a body of work that demonstrates my skill set that I’ve gained through studying, and that was authentic to me. University has given me the time and freedom to develop and grow, where I now feel confident and thrive in a teamwork setting. Communicating my own ideas and listening to others really inspires and challenges me.

My skills mainly focus within embellishment, print design/printing, using CAD (such as Photoshop) and photography to translate my design and drawings. My interests include nature’s natural forms and textures, which I implement within my design aesthetic and pattern structures, whilst keeping a bold and graphic style. Due to my appreciation of nature within my designs, I also make sure my design impact is as reduced as possible, and where necessary I make sure to find the most sustainable alternative.
