Sophie Keal

BA (Hons) Fashion

BA Fashion work by Sophie Eleanor Keal showing outfit one from final collection 'Unearthing Fungi'

Throughout my degree I have specialised in womenswear, creating more commercial to high end looks, featuring my own prints. Graduating with a degree in Fashion will help me to focus my career in the fashion industry to gain more experience in the field and broaden my knowledge and own creative self. Since being at university I have found a passion in creating my own print designs where I am able to express who I am creatively with bold colours and graphic features.

My interest in nature has played a massive part in my inspiration for my work from the colours to the form and textures. I have undertaken many research tasks looking into trends and further research into inspirations in my projects. Not only finding myself as a designer I have gained many other attributes to take forth into my future including resilience, self-discipline, organisational skills and independence to get things done on my own, with the recent pandemic impacting many aspects but helping to shape who I am.
