BA (Hons) Film and Moving Image Production
Originally from Nottingham, I came to NUA not only to learn about film but the art of storytelling and how I as a queer creative can begin to craft narratives that represent a group of people’s stories yet to be told. I believe this has been successful, accelerating my skills in script development, world-building and editing.
When it comes to scriptwriting I have a clear vision of how I wish the world to look and I am able to collaborate with other creatives in order to achieve a clear direction. You can see this in GRLZ as my team and I have been able to create a rich world set within the realm of the 90’s, strengthened by my close collaboration with the production design.
Moving forward I am planning to work in stage, pitching a full-length version of GRLZ for stage whilst continuing to hone my production and set design skills in a different context to get a fully realised view of what can be done with a film education.
