Sophie Rattue

BA (Hons) Animation

A screenshot taken from my final film depicting a maggot person with her arms outstretched and her two flatmates floating above her. They are in a dark red bathroom.

Hello! My name is Sophie, and I am striving to become a storyboard artist and eventually an animated series showrunner. I believe animation is an unparalleled vehicle for storytelling and my passion is using it to create stories people can connect to.

Studying animation has developed my organisational skills, eye for detail, and ability to work both alone & with collaborators. I have experience co-leading a team project to produce Fascination: The 13th Principle, whilst overcoming team working challenges. Additionally, I have completed my final film for university as a solo project spanning several months.

An Animated film depicting the life of a girl as she grows up and her passion for animation develops. Which culminates in a burnout.

I also have experience working for a client producing character animation for a music video. I have developed my communication skills, addressing notes and feedback and updating work regularly.

Overall, I feel I am a resilient, detail-oriented artist and I am eager to further my creative career.

An animatic depicting a girl venturing into a forest and being chased by a large shadowy figure, eventually jumping off a cliff to evade it and falling in some bushes.
