BA (Hons) Film and Moving Image Production
Born in Nigeria, raised in South London. My art is created through emotive storytelling and dialogue, bringing characters to life, telling stories that capture my interests and culture from a diasporic lens and perspective. I like to write about complex issues; whether it is deemed controversial or taboo.
My new short Jollof deals with trauma and how the effects manifest. Discussing trauma is seen as taboo within the Black community. The pain is passed down, like an unwanted gift. Sadly because of this, there is a silent epidemic happening.
My undergraduate degree has strengthened my artistic voice and expression – This final year I specialised in writing, directing, and editing. This has massively improved my attention to detail, communication with crew and actors and rebuilt my leadership abilities.
This has been a transformative year as my mindset has changed allowing me to tap back into my true artistic capabilities.
