Persecution – A Tale of Love’s Triumph’ was inspired by 17th century witch trials and queer opression. The collection is dark with highlights of metallics and my own home grown bio-fabric. The garments were designed to show off bodies, highlighting body parts that are associated with gender stereotyping.
For my collection I used my own models from House of Daze, some identifying as non-binary. On the day of the professional shoot my model was self isolating, I ended up shooting my collection on myself and my other half, who is a drag queen, in my house and garden.
Going forward, I have my own brand, Priestess Bespoke, making garments for all genders and sizes.
Last year I was fortunate enough to be a finalist for Student of the Year at the Bridal Buyers Awards with a dress inspired by Mae West, the complete gown was on display at Harrogate Bridal Show.
