Thomas Hallett

BA (Hons) Animation

A banner consisting of a collection of 3 stop-motion characters throughout my university career
NUA Award Winner

I am a stop-motion character animator and puppet fabricator skilled in the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud and Dragonframe. I specialise in the performance of characters, creating believable personalities and imbuing puppets with life. I am motivated by my passion to create authentic and entertaining character expression.

Vice-Chancellor’s Commendation

Stop-motion, horror, short film. A patchwork detective's investigation takes a dark turn when the clues begin to unravel, revealing he may not be the only patchwork person in the building.

I am constantly looking for areas I can improve, learning new skills to diversify myself. My work is heavily inspired and guided by its uncanny nature and the cinematic immersion of film. I aim to create interesting characters that inhabit expansive worlds told through the twisted eyes of stop-motion animation.
