The material world we inhabit is ever-changing, nothing in this world can avoid being scarred, abraded, and changed by the passing of time. What one remembers today will be unrecognisable tomorrow, for matter is mutable, and constantly propelled into a new form by the omnipresent state of transience.
My work attempts to capture this dynamic in a still form using the language of architecture. The iconography of ruins, withering structures and construction sites which I incorporate are intended to put the ever-changing and transient world we inhabit into further perspective, pensively raising existential questions that lead to an appreciation of the world we live in.
