Zara’s work focuses on rebranding sustainability through creative direction, styling and graphics with no greenwashing in sight. The bright & fanatical look captivates her work’s audience and delivers an extra surprise element of self-sourced secondhand garments. These particular pieces were part of a six series of photoshoots inspired by nostalgia and the influences growing up which help to refine and shape her aesthetic, such as video games, movies and music from the late 90s and early 00s. Zara’s hope for the future is to continue collaborative shoots and teach others that being a conscious consumer does not mean compromising on style.
