BA (Hons) Illustration
As an illustrator who loves to explore a range of contextual applications of my work, I’ve really focused my skills on narrative illustration and design for tattooing. Through my work I love to explore themes of mythology and horror whilst refining limited colour palettes to create high contrast images.
Using motifs I develop during graphic novels and comics, I enjoy designing tattoos and exploring how tattoos can nurture a relationship with one’s self. As I love to collaborate and communicate with clients I intend on exploring tattooing as a medium for my future work as this encourages me to explore stylistic choices I can transfer into my freelance practice.
A project that particular highlighted this for me was my final project where I illustrated a graphic novel based on ‘The Titanomachy’ from Greek mythology. Alongside my graphic novel I developed a set of temporary tattoos, based on important Greek motifs, that sparked my passion for the craft.
