Amy Baker

BA (Hons) Illustration

Digital drawing by Amy Baker showing a bold, colourful drawing of Norwich market.

I believe that art, design, and illustration can be the key to improving mental health and quality of life. Therefore, I wish to complete an MA in Art Psychotherapy at University, and eventually become a qualified art therapist.

I am a driven and creative individual, and I put all my effort and time into every task and challenge I face. I feel I have refined my illustration skills and I am now able to target work towards a range of different audiences.

I have generated illustration work which I feel could be useful in an art therapy setting. I am very proud to have generated a children’s book which aims to develop understanding of neurodiversity amongst children and young people.

There is therefore a clear link between my academic and illustration work and my desire to work as an Art Therapist. I also enjoy generating digital drawings of local places to sell on an Etsy store in the future, showing that I can be diverse in my illustration practice.
