Ira Badham-Moore
BA (Hons) Illustration
I am a narrative illustrator and printmaker, who enjoys introducing traditional media textures across all of my nonprinting work. The world around me, specifically the intersections of nature and the built environment are the primary drives behind my creative processes, as is visible through my choices of subject.
With my focus on narrative I frequently turn to those that I enjoy reading the most, Science Fiction and Fantasy, and am highly skilled at interpreting them in innovative and visually stunning ways, utilising the strengths of media I know to enhance my whole body of practice.
I am also an aspiring and growing curator, stepping up a lot through Year 3 to develop properly a skill I have had mild but not sustained interest in before. This experience has taught me much and further increased the context I see my work in, relating it to other printmakers in the year especially; this self awareness of my practice has helped my end of year making, preparing for wider working.
