Anne Gough

BA (Hons) Textile Design

Screen printed organic cotton canvas repeat lengths, used to cover a modular sofa. Fabric has many different bright and colourful patterns next to each other.

I am a Textile Design graduate who has developed a passion for screen printing repeat lengths. I enjoy a hands-on approach as opposed to creating my designs digitally which although takes longer I feel it creates a more personal interaction with my designs and I enjoy the process. I’ve used my prints in both interior and fashion and I enjoy the way they interact with each other when put together, they are colourful and fun and are designed to be striking and amusing.

Model in boilersuit lies on sofa. The colourful array of screen-printed patterns are designed to work together on the sofa and boilersuit to camouflage the model.

I am very motivated, self-disciplined, and proactive and I thrive best when I’m busy working on multiple projects. I like working in an environment with other creatives as I find talking through your designs helps create your best work. The last three years has culminated in me knowing the direction in which I want to go and this was further cemented when I won the Colour in Design award at the recent Industry Awards day.

Screen printed boiler suit, both a work wear item and a fashion statement. Fabric consists of several colourful patterns next to eachother.
A repeat pattern length that can be used in either an interior or fashion context. Pattern is geometric cream and orange on dark blue.
Screen-printed fabric with pigment and binders to create a crisp abstract design as an art piece.
