Cara Ellaway

BA (Hons) Textile Design

Model wearing black jeans and heeled boots with leg on chair. Rastered pattern onto black jeans by Cara Ellaway

I am a Textile Designer specialising in digital design, screen printing, and laser cutting techniques .My journey as a student has been enriched by my role as a student ambassador and representative, where I have engaged in open days, delivered talks, and facilitated workshops, enhancing my communication and confidence.

Beyond academia, I have embraced opportunities to intern at companies, such as Edeline Lee and PATTERN textiles.

Bold digital prints and denim rastering on denim by Cara Ellaway. Patterns are denim with white and red, one triangular, one geometric cubes and one a rose pattern.

At Edeline Lee, I contributed to the London Fashion Week show and assisted in the creation of a fashion film featured on Vogue Runway. During my time at PATTERN textiles, I collaborated closely with pattern designers to develop designs for fashion.

My work has been featured in the university Storehouse magazine (issue 26) and showcased in the fashion magazine Unify, in collaboration with FCP student Ciara.

Driven by a deep passion for fashion and textiles, my ultimate aspiration is to work in the field of textile design for fashion.
