Grace Bastion
BA (Hons) Illustration
I have a keen interest in wildlife and natural history with a current focus on mini-beasts, though I have studied a broad range of plants, animals and landscapes along the way.
Throughout my educative career I have specialised in watercolour and gouache paintings, and I have a thorough understanding of form and colour, as well as how to properly study and translate key information and details of a specimen’s physicality onto paper.
I’m enthusiastic about learning at all ages and exposing my audience to the wonders of nature’s creatures and functions, and how beautiful they can be.
In the future, I would love to work with conservation efforts and organisations, as well as collaborating with museums, zoos and wildlife magazines, blogs and publications to create both decorative and educative illustrations.
