The proposal seeks firstly, to provide an essential integration between the unique and majestic natural surroundings of the site and the built environment. In addition to, attracting through a spirit of inclusivity, more people/members to this area and improve community and environmental relationships between sailing and the sea. This project aims to nurture a community hub, designed to be an important local, national and international social space.

A big focus is the significance of boat maintenance, and the important social aspect of this. The building has a workshop space, designed to run classes on general boat maintenance; empowering and bringing together the local community. The space is designated primarily to store boats that can be worked on and encourage social interactions between boat owners.
