‘The orange project’ is a collection of my final work at university. Using a multidisciplinary approach, I aim to portray my relationship with the colour orange and its association with family, heritage and identity.
Working with an archive of collected photographs, I attempt to convey intimate moments where I have felt the warmth of this strong and comforting colour. I allude to these ideas further through my interview feature in the ‘a-n Degree Show Guide’ magazine, currently available online via the ‘a-n’ website.
My interest in exploring these ideas was spiked last year during my involvement in an exhibition with Cadence, a platform dedicated to promoting art from different cultures. This was a fantastic opportunity to build on my confidence, ideas and installation skills. I have since participated in the ‘Perspective’ exhibition at Cromer Artspace, prompting my interest in exploring potential gallery work in the future.
