My work is a pictorial journal of my life experience, my DNA.
There are three dimensions to my practice, the first is recounting my emotional response to my habitat. I live on a cliff edge on the North Norfolk Coast, the vista changes daily, I feel spellbound to document it. This work often looks abstract, although, the theme of time is often documented with the movement of the sun.
The second is to tell a story about my family or friends, these pieces are usually made on canvas or become part of an installation. This work is also an emotional response, activated by people, memory and story, these pieces are figurative and have symbolic hidden messages and meanings.
The third is the writing and illustration of children’s books.
I often document the process of my practice, making short films, available to see on my Youtube channel.
