Josie Hammond-Stones
BA (Hons) Design for Publishing
I am a recent graduate of BA Design for Publishing with a love for photography, typography and physical craft. My degree has helped me to push the limits of what publishing really is. My work is driven by analogue processes, often experimental and informed by thorough research.
I enjoy image creation: building collections and continuous work, which can transform into bigger things. My degree has been an opportunity to mix design with my interest in the arts and culture sector. I use both my design and research skills to produce pieces that I am passionate about.
I have gained further experience as a university student ambassador, as well as, working freelance, designing for clients and teaching art classes for children. A large part of what I enjoy is editorial design, however, I enjoy the educational side too. I would like to collaborate and work with curators, artists and educators.
