Lucy Ferguson is a Norwich-based artist who specialises in printmaking. Throughout her three years of study at Norwich University of the Arts she has explored many controversial contemporary themes and issues, with the topic of mental health a recurring feature in her work. In her final year of study, she discovered her love for screen printing whilst continuing her interest in mental health studies.

She has brought these two factors together in her latest collection of prints, covering issues such as eating disorders and wrongful treatment of those affected by mental illness.

This project and the process of screen print as a whole has improved her skills in attention to detail, patience and problem-solving skills as in this medium a millimetre mistake could cost the whole piece. Ferguson hopes to take these skills forward in her venture to become a freelance artist/printmaker.
